It's snowtime folks

The last time we visited AGCO at one of their shows it was a sunny June day in Lincolnshire. Not so this time as we attended LAMMA 2013 held at a snowy and bitterly cold Newark Showground.

Formerly known as the Lincolnshire Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association, LAMMA was established in 1982 by a small group of local agricultural equipment manufacturers from across Lincolnshire. The first event was held at the Lincolnshire Showground, with some 50 exhibitors displaying their products at the show. It was a great success with over 2,500 visitors attending.

By 1993 LAMMA had grown to over 65 exhibitors and demand for stands was growing. As the years passed, it became increasingly difficult to ignore the repeated requests from manufacturers in adjoining counties to exhibit at the show. Eventually, manufacturers from the adjacent counties were invited and it wasn’t long before invitations were extended nationwide to all manufacturers of British equipment.

In 2012 LAMMA had become the largest UK agricultural equipment show with in excess of 40,000 attendees and was fast becoming an international event.

Green Square had produced the pre-show advertising campaign for the Valtra 163 tractor. This campaign ran across three different adverts and was published in all the farming journals. We also produced some material for Valtra on the AGCO stand.

It’s great to get invited to shows like this, we get to spend time with clients away from the office environment and to have a good look at what’s going on within their industry. We hope to be out again soon, and… if you’re thinking of inviting us; please make it somewhere warm!
