Restoration restoration restoration

In 2013 the Canal & River Trust commissioned the University of Northampton to carry out a research project to explore the economic, social and environmental impacts of restoration projects carried out over the previous two decades.

The Trust recognised the importance of these projects and was keen to demonstrate to a broad range of partners that restoration delivers real and measurable economic, health and social impacts.

When these findings were ready to be published Canal & River Trust approached Green Square who are a key brand partner on the design roster. We were commissioned to design the supporting document along with a series of display banners.

Working closely with the Trust’s design management and restoration teams, our aim was to create visually compelling evidence of the importance of waterway restoration and the obvious benefits.

We were all very happy with the end result as Green Square’s Philip Westwood commented: ‘ I am delighted that we were approached to work on a project that encourages the regeneration of canals that have fallen by the wayside. Our inland waterways provide something for everyone and I hope that Green Square can assist further with this project.’
